Skillnet Group - Eco Shed

At the Eco Shed we have work experience and make things to sell. The Eco Shed is in Sittingbourne and helps people with learning difficulties to learn new skills for work.

Eco shed attended a fair at Shorne Wood Country Park. We sold numerous items and made £ 64.50. TrADE attended the ‘Fairs For All’ event at Canterbury College, the Eco Shed was involved in this.

At the Skillnet Group - Eco Shed we make:

We are being supported by the finance officer to continue to open the Eco shed bank account. The Eco shed have put in a bid to B&Q for materials to develop the Labour Hall. We have had further orders for robin boxes, a bird table, a sparrow box and bird boxes.

There are lots of things that you can buy that have been made by learning disabled people at the Eco Shed.

We are discussing a possible move to the Labour hall where the Eco shed could be part of a community café.
3 people delivered products to Boughton Mount for a display at Sessions House in Maidstone.
Every one has discussed and written up an action plan to work in partnership with Shorne Wood Country Park. 2 people have typed this up.
We are continuing to look for new pallets and wood. One group are contacting wood merchants to see if they have any off cuts of wood they do not need.
4 people from the Eco shed attended First Aid training at the Labour Hall.
TrADE have forwarded a list of fairs which the Eco shed can attend over the year
People have visited Faversham Day Opportunity Centre as part of a job share.
