Exciting chance to get some work experience!

Thanet Leisure Force, in partnership with Skillnet Group, are offering work placements for people with a learning difficulty.

The placements will be at Hartsdown Leisure Centre and Ramsgate Sports Centre.

What is involved?

  • You will work for between 6-8 weeks
  • You could work as a Leisure Assistant, Soft Play Assistant, Catering Assistant or as a Receptionist.
  • You will get work experience doing a real job for a few weeks
  • You will gain confidence in doing the job
  • You can add the experience to your CV and tell people about it when you apply for jobs
  • There may be some paid jobs at the end for people to apply for.

The placements will take place over the next year starting in February 2012.

Will I get paid?

  • No, it is an unpaid work experience placement.
  • It could lead on to paid work in the future

What support will I get?

  • Skillnet Group will work with you to find out what support you need and can provide a job coach to help you understand the job if you need it.

Interviews will be held on 23rd and 24th January 2012.
If you are shortlisted you will be notified by 18th January email or phone.

 (You will be required to declare all past convictions, whether spent or not, as this post is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1984. You will also be required to undergo an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check.
