Dawn's Story

Hello my name is Dawn Streeter.

I go to Skillnet Group Dover.

I went to Dover Harbour School where we were all treated equally.

Then I went to a day centre where they helped me with my reading writing and taught me life skills.

I was there for 26 years!

Some people who I meet in the street treat me unfairly.

They don’t know me but treat me like I am not there.

They only see my walking Stick and disabilities.

Why don’t people see me as a person?

I am getting a flat of my own with support I hope this will help to change how people think of me.
