Way Out

“Way Out” started through performing with Skillnet Group CIC at open mic nights. We decided to get together and have fun making serious music. We called ourselves “Way Out” so that people would come and see us because everyone would have to go past us to get to the exits!

We are mainly a cover band and like to play music people can join in with but we always perform at least one of our own songs. We are a mix of musicians with and without learning difficulties working together as an emerging social firm. We practice once a week in the evenings.

“Way Out” are Kirsty Manley (Compere/percussion), Peter Bland (vocals/roadie), Malcolm Barnard (vocals/sax), John Fletcher (vocals/cornet), Lis Clayson (coordinator, vocals/drums/flute), Steve Clayson (Electric Guitar), Steve Perry (Electric Guitar), Steve Chapman (Bass), Steve Sewell (keyboards), Jamie Flaherty (Drums/guitar).
