In Speaking Up Groups people with and without learning difficulties work together equally and have peer support to speak up, make choices, be heard and be taken seriously.  People make links within local communities and build up strong local knowledge so that people with learning difficulties have an equal place as citizens within mainstream society and are not segregated.
