In May 2006, we were asked by the Department of Health to develop a jobs network across the South East region.

South East Kent We have visited different areas in the South East to check that people with a learning difficulty are getting paid work. We have visited District Partnership Groups, Local Councils and Supported Employment agencies. We have set up Campaigning Group meetings for people with a learning difficulty to discuss and campaign about the issues that they are facing when trying to get a job. We have met in London Maidenhead and Reading. We have had lots of different people form the South East attending these.
